Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Science from Kishan Chand Chellaram College, Mumbai, Tarique Ansari's journey took an unexpected turn as he ventured into the world of hijab retail. This marked the genesis of BEING MUSLIMS on the 1st of February 2009, operating from a rented space at Mota Mahal, Mumbai.

As the demand for high-quality designer hijabs and modest Islamic clothing grew, BEING MUSLIMS responded with ingenuity. Harnessing his unwavering confidence and intent, Tarique Ansari expanded the business by acquiring another rented space at Minara Masjid, Mumbai, establishing a hub for both wholesale and retail hijab trade.
